BRISBANE Archbishop John Bathersby has invited all Catholics in the archdiocese to a special gathering on July 22 to mark the first anniversary of the Come Holy Spirit Prayer Campaign.
The gathering will be held at the Marymac Centre, 616 Ipswich Rd, Annerley from 9am-12.30pm.
It has been organised to reflect on what has been achieved by the prayer campaign and to set new strategies for it to continue.
It will take place on the feast of St Mary Magdalene, the first witness of the risen Christ, under whose patronage the prayer campaign has been placed.
“I am deeply grateful for your ongoing support for the archdiocesan Come Holy Spirit Prayer Campaign,” Archbishop Bathersby said.
“It has been a great success and many good things have happened.
“However we need to build on this effort so as to more deeply implement our archdiocesan Jesus Communion Mission vision.”
Event organiser Mike Humphrys said Archbishop Bathersby hopes to double the number participating in the campaign over the next 12 months.
