A NEW poll in Queensland which found that 62 per cent of people believe abortion involves the taking a human life shows that there are good grounds for making it harder not easier to procure.
It also shows that public opinion is swinging against abortion, and that those who would argue in favour of ‘choice’ in relation to such murder do not hold the majority view.
It is scandalous that 15,000 lives each year in Queensland are extinguished and barely a murmur is raised in political circles.
If this number of Australian soldiers died in battle there would be howls of protest.
Hopefully the latest poll will stimulate politicians from both sides of Parliament to reassess their silence in the anti-abortion debate.
