ABOUT 250 members of the 49 religious orders present in Brisbane archdiocese attended the archdiocese’s recent annual Mass for religious at St Stephen’s Cathedral.

Archbishop John Bathersby of Brisbane was principal celebrant at the Mass.

Among those attending were Josephite Sister Joan Burke and her cousin Marist Brother Roger Burke who, between them, have more than 110 years of service in their respective religious orders.

They said they don’t meet as often as they would like but always catch up at the annual Mass for the religious.
