BRISBANE South Deanery, the home of Pray 2010 from July 7-10, was well represented at the gathering.
The deanery sponsored 12 young adults to go along.
Emily Weeber, 16, of Sunnybank parish said she’d “never been to anything like it before” and “really enjoyed it”.
Sunnybank youth worker Eloise Giraud said her time at Pray 2010 was “inspirational” allowing her to be “refuelled … with a passion to keep going”.
Deanery youth co-ordinator Kristen Roe was particularly inspired by workshops with Byron and Francine Pirola.
“They were really great,” she told The Catholic Leader.
“They showed me how I can incorporate prayer into my marriage and family life.”
Kristen also became more of a fan of Missionary of God’s Love Father Dan Benedetti.
“He’s my new favourite speaker,” she said.
“His presentations and workshops were awesome.”
