A TAIZE weekend for youth and young adults will be held at Banyo Seminary, Brisbane on the weekend of May 19-21.
The weekend, to be facilitated by Br Ghislain who is travelling from the Taize community in France for the occasion, is sponsored by Queensland Churches Together (QCT) and supported by the heads of Churches as an ecumenical event for young people.
It is described as “a time of silence and listening to the Word so as to deepen a personal sense of pilgrimage to the heart of faith and commitment to justice and peace”.
Taize’s grounding in monasticism is an effort to root ecumenism in the life of common prayer. It is an appealing spiritual apostolate and is renowned for being ecumenical.
