THE Antioch group is heavily involved in Birkdale parish’s annual musical production Wolfstock.
Written by Mary McMahon and Donald Woodward, Wolfstock is about Jay, played by Luke Lawes, who is not aware that he will turn into a werewolf on his 16th birthday.
His parents, Fred, played by Neville McInerney, and Freda, played by Amy Wicks, are informed of this fate by Loupy (Mark Craig) and Sue (Jocelyn Boyle) and the comical chaos escalates.
The music is strictly 1950s rock ‘n’ roll with such numbers as The King, Ordinary Teenage Boy and It’s A Full Moon Tonight.
The show is directed by Melissa Britt with Mark Craig as musical director and choreography by Zoe Barnsley, Amanda Parker and Amy Wicks.
Production manager Neville McInerney said there would be prizes for the best dressed audience member in a 1950s costume or best dressed werewolf.
The annual musical production helps raise much needed funds for the parish community at Birkdale.
Show times are October 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 7.30pm at Mary Mackillop Church, Birkdale.
Tickets cost $12 for adults, $7 for students/children and pensioners and $30 for family tickets.
