PARISH Youth Ministries Services (PYMS) in Brisbane will run a youth ministry worker in-service on ‘Resolving Conflict’ on June 2.
Youth ministry worker in-services are for people who have an interest in or responsibility for ministry with young people in parishes, whether on a voluntary basis or employed.
The in-service aims to explore conflict and its impacts in a group setting, to examine how conflict is managed within different organisational settings and work environments, and to provide strategies and ideas for managing conflict within groups of young people.
Guest facilitator Andrew Beiers has been campus minister at ACU National for the past seven years.
Previously he spent about a decade as a parish youth ministry co-ordinator.
Andrew has a wealth of experience in group dynamics, getting people to work together in a positive environment and creating healthy relationships with young people, peers and colleagues.
He will talk about creating positive relationships for youth ministry in parishes.
The in-service is from 10am-3pm at Parish Youth Ministry Services, 44 Leopard St, Kangaroo Point and costs $15, including lunch.
For more information phone Parish Youth Ministry Services on (07) 3891 6683.
