BRISBANE’S Young Carmelite Group will hold a day-long program for young people to explore their Catholic faith on June 1.
The group of 18-35 year-olds meets once every two or three months at the Carmelite Monastery, Ormiston with Sydney Carmelite Friar Greg Homeming.
Carmelite Sister Moira Kelly said: ‘One of the outcomes of the recent Synod Assembly was that young people are helped by a set of faith development opportunities to integrate their faith with everyday experience.
‘This is exactly what the young Carmelite group, led by Fr Homeming, offers to the 18-35 age group,’ she said.
The day will begin with a 9am Eucharist followed by a morning tea for people to get to know each other.
The day will finish with silent prayers from 4.30pm-5pm.
