YOUNG Catholics proved the Church is alive with new hope at this year’s Youth Expo at St Stephen’s Cathedral held last weekend.
Hundreds of young adults crowded the Cathedral precinct to showcase various ministries, events and spiritualities.
Members of the St Stephen’s Young Adult Ministry worked with Vocation Brisbane to organise the vibrant Expo.
Young adults were invited to worship together at Mass at the Cathedral before exploring and meeting with people Brisbane’s wide range of youth ministries.
More than 20 youth and young adult ministries were represented at the expo, including religious orders, charity organisations, archdiocesan agencies, and Catholic missionaries based in Queensland.
Vocations officer Patrick Ransom said the Youth Expo unified the diverse range of youth ministries working in the Brisbane archdiocese.
“The Youth Expo was a great opportunity to meet people from the diverse youth ministries in Brisbane,” Mr Ransom said.
“It also presented an opportunity to promote a greater sense of unity within the Archdiocese of Brisbane.”
