‘We have a team of over 30 adults who help plan, prepare and organise each group.
She said that her role was to co-ordinate the school-age youth groups, while Nev Yun is responsible for the young adult groups.
The Lighthouse, a group for young adults aged 18-25, meets every Sunday after the 6.15pm Mass.
Jaye said although the two programs operated on different days there were several events planned during the year where the groups would come together.
She referred to a ‘Rite of Passage’ where young people moving from one youth group to the next were blessed by the congregation during the Sunday night Mass on February 16.
She also said that other combined events for the year would include a mega youth barbecue, Stations of the Cross, music workshops, visits to a retirement home and Advent celebrations.
