ONE of Australia’s biggest religious camping experiences for young people will be staged over Easter.
The Missionaries of God’s Love are staging the event from Holy Thursday, April 12 to Easter Sunday, April 15.
More than 1000 people are expected to converge on the Redemptorist Monastery at Galong, near Yass in southern NSW, for Light to the Nations.
For four days, a tent city will be erected and participants will join in the Easter celebrations through dance, drama, inspired talks and lots of music.
This year’s theme is “A Future of Hope” and the pilgrimage to Galong specifically caters for those aged 16-35, families or just the young at heart.
The event has the full support of Archbishop Francis Carroll of Canberra and Goulburn archdiocese. Light to the Nations will include Masses, prayer sessions, group discussions, testimonies and Easter liturgies and passion plays.
Applications close at the end of March.
