  1. Queensland Catholic schools welcomed more than 12,000 new Year 7 students who started their first secondary school year.
  2. Church leaders were “stirred” by the high numbers of the “Millennial generation” at a recent US pro-life rally, proving it’s not just the grandparents who oppose abortion.
  3. Nigerian Bishops are pleading for Western governments to send military aid to stop radical Islamist group Boko Haram from attacking thousands more.
  4. Pope Francis said women have “a crucial role in transmitting the faith” to the next generation.
