AUSTRALIANS should consider more than just the party they will vote for on November 10.
Ultimately they will decide whether John Howard or Kim Beazley will lead the nation for the next three years.
But that is not where their choice ends. They will also have to consider whether the local candidate will stand up for the issues that count.
Each voter will have their own priority list of the issues they think are important, but it is imperative that the candidate who is elected will be prepared to fight for these issues.
In this era of parties increasingly pandering their policies to public opinion polls, it is vital that each voter also considers the personal views of their local candidate.
