Thank you Fr Ryan

I WAS deeply saddened to learn of Fr Kevin Ryan’s passing.

While The Leader will continue to be The Leader, which, for me, I look forward to reading every week with its talented group of permanent journalists, and special guest writers, there will now be someone missing, whose inspirationally spiritual, plus practical and down to earth messages gave us all much to contemplate in our daily lives.

Fr Kevin did not shy away from presenting tough choices to us, I remember his piece, not all that long ago, reminding us that The Ten Commandments are alive and well, and we must acknowledge them in our lives.

At the same time he dealt with these, and many other, issues in such an understanding and compassionate way.

I am sure these qualities, and his obvious goodness, have left an indelible mark on the huge number of hearts and souls he touched on his priestly journey.

Mine certainly, and I never even had the privilege or pleasure of meeting him personally.

This is a regret.  However, his beautiful words did it all for me.

Rest in peace, joy and love with God, Fr Kevin, and thank you.
