Taking a stand against abortion

by Staff writers

THE presence of God could be felt as about 70 people staged a peaceful prayer vigil outside an abortion clinic at Bowen Hills in Brisbane earlier this month.

The bewildered glances from passing motorists and pedestrians showed these pro-life supporters were attracting attention in their own quiet way.

These were committed Christians who were prepared to stand up for what they believe.

It may not be the sort of Christian witness that everyone would be prepared to do, but their prayers were lifted up to God in a way which surely would have brought results somewhere in the world that day.

Whatever way we choose, we can all do our part in reminding society that murders are happening each day in abortion clinics in Australia.
