THE Apostleship of the Sea (page 1) is driven by people who are among the many unsung heroes of the Church.
They busily go about their work, representing the Church in action with a ministry to thousands of strangers who come and go from our cities throughout the year.
Most of us are unaware of the need, and equally unaware of how we as a Church are represented in meeting that need.
Today, Seafarers Sunday, is an opportunity for us to acknowledge the invaluable work of the Apostleship of the Sea and consider ways in which we may be able to support that work at a time when the organisation is facing some stiff challenges.
