CONGRATULATIONS to the Catholic students at UQ for their stand on pro-life matters (CL 25/5/08).
For the (students’) union to “gag” these students and not allow an alternative view to the pro-abortion message is wrong.
What happened to diversity of ideas, debate and discussion – hitherto a basic tenet of university life?
I guess this is how the discrimination of the Jews in universities began under Hitler’s influence in Nazi Germany – one step at a time.
This action by the student union, shows how “Christianity” in Australia in under attack and the basic freedoms, such as the right of free speech, are being denied.
It demonstrates, once again, the lengths those promoting abortion will go, to keep everyone ignorant of the facts.
I guess it’s hard to promote the “it’s just a blob” line when new technology allows us to see the wonder of the developing pre-birth child and give us images of doctors operating on babies in their mother’s womb!
Keep up the good work students.
Let us hope that other Catholic and Christian students will support your actions. We will pray that you are able to overcome this wrong.
