OUR police and emergency services provide an important service 24 hours a day, sometimes in very dangerous situations.
Yet, much of the time they receive little thanks for the tireless work they do.
The police and firefighters who risked their lives to save the victims of the terror attacks in New York deserve the highest praise.
Many died in the line of duty, and to them our prayers should go.
They are true examples of the Christ-like service we are each called to do in our own work.
They can truly be admired.
