THE increased attendances at Masses over Easter seem to indicate many people are searching for answers – but are not finding them in a world wracked by violence and greed.
In addition, some have attributed Mel Gibson’s movie The Passion of the Christ to awakening a renewed interest in appreciating Jesus’s ultimate sacrifice for the redemption of all of us. This may also be the case.
Whatever the reasons, let us hope and pray that the Easter experience has left an indelible impression on at least some of these people.
There is much more to discover about the mystery of Christ’s saving power that can only be revealed by building a permanent relationship with God.
If you know someone who went to church over Easter in the hope of finding some answers in their life, why not ask them about the experience and invite them to make a repeat visit with you next weekend.
