IT is interesting to hear that Rosies Youth Mission found this year’s Schoolies Festival on the Gold Coast quieter than usual.
The annual school leavers’ celebration was described by various media as the most violent to date.
The reality is that many of the troublemakers who flock to the Gold Coast at this time of year are not Schoolies but older youths who are looking to weigh in on the action.
These ex-schoolies need to be watched more closely in future years.
They are a bad example to the many school leavers who just want to relax and have a good time after their final exams.
