A GROUP of young Catholics at the University of Queensland are giving fine example for other members of the Church.
In a difficult situation, facing strong criticism and intense pressure from some of their peers, members of the Newman Society they are holding firm and standing up for what they believe.
Their attempts to promote a pro-life message have attracted strident opposition from a vocal section of the university community but they have not backed away from the cause.
Instead, they have used the situation to further their efforts to uphold the sanctity of life and to ensure that the Church’s voice is heard.
Hopefully, through their efforts, others may be encouraged to decide against abortion if they ever find themselves considering that choice.
