Open to Easter challenge

THIS week, leading up to and culminating with Easter Sunday today, celebrates what is at the heart of our Christian faith – the suffering, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

No matter how many times we have joined the celebrations and heard the stories, life’s ups and downs, joys and sorrows, love, learning, and experiences continue to shed new light on the mysteries. The challenge is to allow ourselves to be open to be drawn into the mysteries.

We at The Catholic Leader hope that the wisdom of people like our Queensland bishops, the insights of our columnists, the reflections of guest contributor Fr Dennis Byrnes, the innocence of children, or Benedictine Sister Hilda Scott’s words on prayer may help readers in the celebration of our faith’s mysteries this Easter.
