HAVING 50 per cent of social welfare agency funds being sidetracked into administration (Page 3) cannot be justified.
It must be infuriating for those working in the sector to witness such waste, especially when the need is so great.
Church leaders in the field, including Frank Quinlan, of Catholic Social Services Australia, have highlighted the situation to the Federal Government and will be expecting it to be addressed.
Australian taxpayers and supporters of Church welfare agencies would have the same expectation.
