THE pro-abortion camp has used the unfortunate circumstances of a young Cairns couple, exposing them to the humiliating public arena for no other reason than to push their own decriminalisation agenda.
If this were not deleterious enough they have hijacked the public hospital “services” in this regard in order to push their agenda right to the Health Minister.
Meanwhile for the private abortion industry, that performs more than 97 per cent of the abortions in Queensland, it is business as usual.
This industry is more than a disinterested third party; there is enough evidence to show they are driving the agenda.
What happened to the provision of providing quality care for women?
The universal pro-abortion, immediate no-choice, no-counselling “solution” falls incredibly short of good medical practice.
It seems to me, in 2009, they see women as second-rate citizens.
These recent events highlight the real need for government, society and each of us to provide support, real choices and life-affirming solutions to women faced with an unexpected pregnancy.
Individually, it is only through our very personal and loving response toward these women that Christ’s message will reach their hearts.
Hope will then fill their world, and life-giving love only known to a mother will nurture.
