THE decision to install Jose Ramos-Horta as the new Prime Minister of East Timor will be welcomed by many observers of this fledgling nation.
Mr Ramos-Horta is a well respected leader both inside and outside East Timor and will offer strength and stability in a country that is crying out for peace.
He has the support of Church leaders in East Timor and a large proportion of the people.
Let us pray that through his wisdom East Timor will return to peace and pave a way out of the problems ahead that still challenge the nation.
