IT is fitting that news of Vatican approval of a second miracle attributed to the intercession of Blessed Mary MacKillop comes as we are about the celebrate Christmas.
The announcement has focused much public attention on miracles, but what matters most is the mystery behind the miracles which are a sign of God’s presence.
That’s what we’re about today – celebrating the mystery of “God with us”.
Christmas offers us a chance again to seek the grace to live in the knowlegde that God is with us and to follow Jesus Christ as Mary MacKillop did. Happy Christmas.
