PARISHIONERS who attended the first of the Jubilee pilgrim Eucharists in Brisbane’s St Stephen’s Cathedral on October 5 will have returned home in high spirits.
The evening, one of five scheduled celebrations to bring together people from different deaneries, attracted more than 700 people.
This is a particularly large crowd considering many of the participants travelled from the far northern reaches of the archdiocese.
The pilgrims brought with them their parish Jubilee staffs, symbolising the culmination of their journey through the Jubilee Year.
The ceremony at St Stephen’s was a joyful and faith-filled one, energised by the presence of those who attended.
