COULD somebody explain this to me?
In Victoria, if one day before she is due to give birth to a baby at full term, a woman decides to have the pregnancy terminated, then that is legal.
If however, a day after a baby is born, the mother decides to have the baby’s life terminated, and that is carried out (by herself or others), it is a very different story.
There would be a police investigation, a report to the coroner, possibly a murder charge, a Supreme Court trial, psychiatric examination before sentencing, and someone could get a few years in jail.
Sorry, but I do not get it.
By the way, last time I looked, Victoria was a state in Australia.
