A CHANGE of government is a time of great hope for those on the side of the majority – hope that things will be better.
New Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has won the trust of the majority of Australians that things will be better with him and his team giving priority to education, health, climate change and abolishing WorkChoices.
Throughout the election campaign, Mr Rudd hammered the point that he believed “the fair go” had gone “out the back door” under the previous government. He will have delivered on his promise of a fair go if he takes account of the poor and marginalised, and indigenous communities in implementing policies in his priority areas.
