Help with life decisions

WE refer to the article, “Decisions at the end of life” by Fr K McGovern (CL 7/9/08).

This article contained absolute practical, ethical clarity for the benefit of concerned aged parents and caring families.

This is particularly relevant to our Hibernian Ministry of Health Care (in Retirement, Aged Services and Residential Aged Care).

The practical steps for decision making for end-of-life issues are so relevant when one considers the average age of fellow worshippers throughout most (or all) of our parishes.

Therefore there is much significance to Fr McGovern’s article.

It would be good if such articles could gain reference during homilies to promote the importance of doing something by preparing well and talking openly to avoid unnecessary suffering of loved ones. To understand is to be understanding.

The website of www.cha.org.au (publications) is further reference.
