THE Christian spirit of Christmas is needed more than ever this year.
In the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attack on America, and with conflict in other parts of the world such as Afghanistan, the Holy Land and Indonesia, the world has descended deeper into the evil mire that promotes hatred and intolerance.
This Christmas, spare a thought for the innocent victims in these troubled parts of the world.
Spare a thought also for the displaced people and refugees who have nowhere to call home this Christmas.
They are walking in the footsteps of Jesus, whose birth brings new hope for all of us.
