As offices, factories, retailers and other entities resume normal hours and caregivers prepare to pack school lunchboxes yet again, or even for the first time, it’s difficult to believe another Christmas has come and gone.
The first day back in The Leader office heralded much dialogue about Christmas “comings and goings”.
Within the sense of sadness at being “back on deck” there was also the promise of another year – full of possibility.
So while we pack away the Christmas lights, trying to ignore the Easter eggs creeping onto supermarket shelves, let’s give thanks for the blessings of yesterday, certain of the blessings of tomorrow for all those who believe.
