A MOVE to warn consumers of pharmaceutical products that have been tested using embryonic stem cells would give the public the right to vote with their hip pocket on an important moral and ethical issue.
Independent Senator Brian Harradine of Tasmania last week introduced draft legislation in Federal Parliament to ensure companies give clear advice as to the type of testing undertaken in their product information.
Companies that use embryonic stem cells on their products would quickly find out the strong support in the community against this type of testing.
Last year’s battle against embryonic stem cell research may have been lost, but the war is not over yet.
