Faith in prayers for rain

THERE was a big push by Church leaders towards the end of last year asking all Christians to pray for drought-breaking rains.

Unfortunately, these prayers appear to have waned in many churches, and not surprisingly the drought has continued.

Australian Catholic Bishops Conference president, Archbishop Philip Wilson, on April 22 again asked Catholics to revive their prayers for rain in light of the worsening crisis.

God will answer our prayers if we just turn to him in faith.

To those who dismiss God’s ability to send rain, a worthy response might be: Doubt comes easily, faith needs prayer.
