Catholics leading by example figure prominently in The Catholic Leader this week.
We have a Brisbane couple (page 1), outraged by the high rate of abortion in Australia, responding practically by establishing an organisation to support pregnant women in crisis.
Then there is the group of young people (pages 1 and 4), fired with enthusiasm after World Youth Day 2008, forming a youth group and raising money to support the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
And, on page 3, we have Fr Tim Harris and Corinda-Graceville parishioners praying for Scott Rush and doing what they can to save him from execution.
Each story is an example of Catholics inspired by faith and prayer to bring hope.
