Now that the fighting between the Sri Lankan Gov-ernment and rebel Tamil Tiger forces is over it would be easy for the world to forget those still caught in the aftermath (page 1).
Thankfully Brisbane archdiocese’s Catholic Justice and Peace Commission is not letting us forget, and as long as we are aware of the tragic situation we have no choice but to care.
The commission is asking very little of us – just to sign a petition and to raise our concerns with our local MPs and senators.
We can’t make a difference unless we try.
