CHRISTMAS 2009 will be particularly tough for many in our community – some having recently lost their jobs, others facing the real possibility of losing theirs, and others on low incomes simply struggling.
Nevertheless, as always, Christmas is a time that brings out the best in us, and the St Vincent de Paul Society is ready to channel that goodwill to where it is most needed.
Members of the society are acutely aware of the hardships facing many people, and they have launched a “Secret Santa Appeal” (Page 1) to help those most in need to share a little joy this Christmas.
All we have to do is give generously and Vinnies will do the rest.
