WE need go no further than our own lounge rooms to find examples of what the Australian Catholic bishops are talking about in their 2010 Social Justice Sunday Statement for next Sunday (page 1).
The nightly TV news bulletins have a constant stream of real-life examples of what is mentioned in Violence in Australia: A message of peace.
And, as the bishops point out, we need only to read the Gospels to find the answer, through the life of Jesus.
They remind us that we can start making a difference by first making sure our own heart is set on the peace of Christ – such a simple task that we have to spend a whole lifetime mastering.
