AUSTRALIAN peacekeepers look set to play an important role in bringing stability to the troubled Solomon Islands.
Police, military and officials from Australia and a number of other Pacific nations will be offering a helping hand to one of our neighbours, just as the Good Samaritan did in helping the man who was beaten and left to die by the roadside.
Australia played a vital part in helping East Timor attain independence.
