CHINA’S government-owned media warned Prime Minister Julia Gillard against saying too much about human rights in China.
They are still peeved about ex-PM Kevin Rudd, who had plenty to say.
Is Australia in a position to lecture others on human rights, anyway?
Don’t we resort to abortion as though humans have no rights if they are young enough and helpless enough?
Most Australian politicians want this subject never to be mentioned in parliament.
A few of the more extreme death-culture MPs, notably the Greens, plus certain Labor Party factions, do want it debated, with a view to making baby-termination even more accessible.
A few holding the opposite view – that human life is sacred – would like to debate abortion in the hope of getting it abolished.
Most MPs, however, are terrified of any such debate – including many calling themselves Catholics.
