ON Mother’s Day, it is ironic to report that 91,000 pregnancies are terminated in Australia each year.
These same Federal Health Department statistics also reveal that there are 251,00 live births each year.
In other words there is one abortion for every 2.8 live births.
These figures should shock anybody who truly recognises and values human life.
Mothers considering abortion are often not fully aware of the consequences of going through such a procedure until it is too late.
They deserve to be fully informed to avoid making a deadly decision for their child.
Unfortunately, such information is not always available.
Mothers are critical to our society. They should be encouraged to be mothers and to treasure the lives that they bring into this world.
