WHAT a strange world we live in. Victorian State Liberal MP Matthew Guy says tail docking a dog and boiling a lobster will be illegal but abortion up to six months will be legal if legislation before the Victorian Parliament is passed.
And this gem from another Victorian Labor MP John Pandazopolous, “… I also have a very solid view that men should not be telling women what to do with their bodies.”
Surely it is much more than telling women what to do with their bodies.
It is the killing of an unborn defenceless baby that the ongoing debate is about. I am revolted and sickened by such brutality.
In Queensland, Labor MP Bonnie Barry, the Member for Aspley, is pushing a private member’s bill to decriminalise abortion.
As a father of eight children, and sadly losing one of them at birth, I fail to understand how such a heinous act can be performed without seriously damaging the mother emotionally and spiritually.
And what of the potential of the unborn?
My children have all grown to become responsible human beings tending their families and serving the community. I thank God for all of them and their children.
May the fight to defend the innocent unborn continue. And I thank God I was not aborted, but allowed to live a full life.
