AMONG those attending Mass this Christmas will be thousands of people who rarely come near the door of a church during other times of the year.
Whatever their reasons for not coming to church at other times, they choose to return perhaps once or twice a year to worship.
They obviously still feel some connection with the Church at times like these.
It should be the duty of every regular churchgoer to make these people welcome.
As Archbishop John Bathersby of Brisbane says in his Christmas card, to be distributed at Masses this weekend, without the presence of these people ‘our Church remains incomplete’.
