NUDGEE Cemetery has opened  Brisbane’s only Catholic crematorium. This is unique to the Brisbane archdiocese and is the second Catholic crematorium in Australia.

Located in the grounds of Nudgee Cemetery, the Nudgee Crematorium provides a centrally located facility for a dignified and respectful cremation.

In keeping with the cemetery policy, the crematorium is available for all religions and faiths.

The crematorium is designed to serve archdiocesan parishioners, with services being held in their local parish and followed by a cremation.

Or if the family would prefer a service at Nudgee Crematorium, as from late February there is a Garden Chapel (marquee) in the grounds that is available for services.

In addition to at-need services, the crematorium also offers a pre-paid cremation deed for people thinking of pre-planning their funerals.

The Benefits of Pre-planning:

More and more families today are considering the option of pre-arranging and pre-paying their burial or cremation and memorial in advance.

It is a simple process to undertake and will remove the emotional and financial worries on your family.

By pre-planning and pre-paying in advance, you avoid any future price rises.

These can be personally designed to meet your needs and your budget.

There are a wide range of burial options to choose from including lawn, monumental, above-ground vaults and family chapels.

Cremation memorials include the Stations of the Cross Memorial Garden, path and other garden placements.

The crematorium is a new service to the archdiocese, and the cemetery operators are looking forward to support from members of the archdiocese in promoting the facility to families, friends and parishioners.

Brochures are available and are being distributed to funeral directors and parishes.
