BRISBANE Catholic Education paid tribute to 24 educators and administration staff who have devoted almost 700 combined years to the Catholic education of thousands of young people.
The group included retiring teachers, administration staff and principals who have served 20 years or more with Brisbane Catholic Education.
The ceremony was led by Archbishop John Bathersby at the O’Shea Centre, Wilston on November 1.
Staff received a plaque from the archbishop and a gift from Brisbane Catholic Education acting executive director Dianne Goosem.
More than 160 people attended to acknowledge the hard work of the recipients.
Archbishop Bathersby said the retirees had played a big part in communicating the Good News to the world.
‘The lives of thousands of people have been touched for the better by your faith and skills,’ he said.
