CATHOLIC stewardship expert Jim Kelley has been spreading the word about the internationally-practiced program in the Brisbane archdiocese for the past few weeks.
Mr Kelley, a visiting speaker from Charlotte diocese, North Carolina, was the key presenter at stewardship events throughout the Brisbane archdiocese in recent weeks.
Mr Kelley, the Charlotte diocese director of development, said stewardship was a conversion process to help people live their faith from day to day.
He said he visit to Australia had been well-received so far.
“People are either grasping or getting the idea of stewardship and are getting excited about it,” Mr Kelley said.
Stewardship is a spirituality for life that challenges the Christian disciple to foster a sense of gratitude, responsibility and generosity through the better use of time, talent and treasure.
Mr Kelley will also visit the Sydney archdiocese, Lismore diocese, Maitland-Newcastle diocese, Rockhampton diocese and Broken Bay diocese, during his visit.
