FOUR ceramic murals capturing the spirit of Guardian Angels’ School at Ashmore were launched on December 5.
Principal Peter Anderson said the six-month project had been a labour of love for everyone involved and had captured the uniqueness of the close-knit Guardian Angels’ community.
The project involved present and past students and staff, retirement village residents, clergy and the public.
Mr Anderson said the mural project was about piecing together the school’s history and sharing its spirit with the community.
He said everyone associated with the school had been invited to make a contribution to the project with more than 750 people taking up the offer.
Professional artists Mark Warne and Christa Robnik were commissioned as artists-in-residence to co-ordinate the production of the murals.
