Unleashing the power of encounter at Ignite Conference in 2021

Returning: Ignite Youth director Kym Keady unleashes all that Ignite Conference 2021 will be for Brisbane Archdiocese.

PLANS for the awe-inspiring youth event, Ignite Conference, were unveiled to stakeholders at the Australian Catholic University, Banyo.

This year themed “Unleashed”, stakeholders supporting the iconic youth platform were not only from the local archdiocese and university, but also Brisbane Catholic Education, Evangelisation Brisbane, NET Ministries Australia, Vocations Brisbane and Acts 2 College of Mission and Evangelisation.

Ignite Youth director Kym Keady said she was excited to also welcome those from ministry partners such as Frassati Australia, Red Frogs, Men Alive, Marist Youth Ministry, and a host of priests, religious, and youth ministers.

“We are ready and willing to again offer a dynamic platform for young people to come and experience Jesus,” she said.

Festival fever: Ignite Conference was packed with live music and worship in 2019.

“Especially following last year’s cancellation of so many face-to-face encounters, ‘Unleashed’ will be a powerful reminder of what God can do in the lives of all people.”

Evangelisation Brisbane executive director Deacon Peter Pellicaan said Ignite Conference was powerful.

“The power of a conference like Ignite Conference is that young people encounter Jesus personally, fall in love with Jesus and want to be at Mass, because that’s where Jesus is,” he said.

This year will mark the 21st year of Ignite Conference, to be held at Mueller College, Rothwell, from September 22-25.

Ignite conference in Sydney will again follow shortly after, on September 29 to October 2, at Freeman College, Bonnyrigg

Early bird registration for Brisbane is until June 24 –$285 for individuals and $260 per person for groups of 10 or more.
