A LITURGY to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the murder of six El Salvadorean Jesuit priests and their two assistants will be held at Acacia Ridge’s Our Lady of Fatima parish hall on Saturday, November 16.

The Jesuits, their cook and her daughter were murdered at the Uni-versity of Central America in El Salvador in 1989. A spokesman for Brisbane’s Salvadorean community said tribute would be paid to the UCA Martyrs because “they live in the memory of thousands of people”.

The 8am event  includes a liturgy by Fr Luiggi Usubelli and a Salvadorean-style breakfast. Juan Menjivar and Jesuit Father Peter Quin will address the gathering.

For information call Rosario on 0433 981 788 or Rafael 3800 1584.
