SAINT Paul De Chartres Sister Theresa Maria Dao said it was fantastic to spend time with fellow women religious from other orders and congregations around Brisbane archdiocese last Friday.
The group of 15 religious sisters met to reflect upon and answer questions from Catholic Religious Australia but they also took the chance for fellowship and prayer.
“It was a wonderful evening with 15 of us religious gathering, we shared and felt we are very much on the same page,” Sr Dao said.
“(It is) such a great support to our life as religious knowing that we are not on our own little world or mission.”
She said it was her dream to see these meet-ups continue.
Opportunities to support each other can help all of us, she said, and she would love to create a culture of fellowship for all religious in Brisbane.
The questions from Catholic Religious Australia invited the group to reflect ahead of the Jubilee 2025.
The Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has invited the participation of all consecrated men and women in the Jubilee of Consecrated Life to be celebrated in Rome October 8-9 in 2025 and nationally in home countries on February 2, 2025.
A Jubilee is a special year of grace and conversion, involving prayer, pilgrimage and sacramental repentance, held every 25 years, or during other years as called for by the Pope.
